Radon in the air & water:
Radon is a colorless, odorless, tasteless carcinogenic gas that according to the Surgeon
General, is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. Radon is a radioactive
gas. It comes from the natural decay of uranium that is found in nearly all soils. It typically
moves up through the ground to the air above and into the home through cracks and other holes in
the foundation. Your home traps radon inside, where it can build up. Any home may have radon a
radon problem. This means new and old homes, well sealed and drafty homes, and homes with or

The EPA action level for air is 4pCi/l (pico curies per liter).
The State of Maine recommended action level for air is 2pCi/l (pico curies per liter).
The State of Maine recommended action level for radon in water is 4000pCi/l (pico curies per

We are State registered & Licensed for radon air & water testing.Our testing is primarily done
with CRM's (Constant radon monitors) with these units we can give you the result the same day
that we pick up the test, we also use Liquid scintillation devices.
